ZGC Forum Spotlight: Xiong’an emerges as key player in AI innovation ecosystem

The Xiong’an “Artificial Intelligence+” Industry Ecosystem Integration Development Forum, held as a parallel event of the 2026 Zhongguancun (ZGC) Forum , brought together over 400 participants , including artificial intelligence experts, industry leaders, and representatives from global investment institutions. Delegates from China and multiple international markets , spanning academia, technology enterprises, and investment bodies, convened under the theme “Beijing-Xiong’an Intelligent Innovation and Ecosystem Integration” to discuss the future of AI-driven growth and cross-regional collaboration.

At the forum, officials outlined Xiong’an’s artificial intelligence development roadmap and unveiled a comprehensive policy support framework aimed at attracting enterprises and fostering innovation. The measures include research and development incentives, scenario-based application support, and end-to-end industrial services, designed to accelerate the commercialization of AI technologies. The event also saw the release of Beijing-Xiong’an collaborative innovation achievements and a list under the “Open Competition Mechanism to Select the Best Candidates,” focusing on advancing industrial synergy through technological breakthroughs, application scenarios, and demonstrable outcomes.

Several major initiatives were launched, including joint Beijing-Xiong’an science and technology projects, investment programmes under the Xiong’an Fund, new enterprise settlements in the Xiong’an Zhongguancun Park, and key innovation platforms . Additionally, the “Xiong’an Hundred Models Competition” was introduced, inviting global participants to submit advanced AI models and solutions, with the aim of driving innovation through competition and attracting top talent .

Keynote speakers, including He You , Zhang Jianwei , and Guo Song , highlighted global AI trends, research advancements, and evolving theoretical frameworks, while emphasizing Xiong’an’s strategic advantages. As the only non-Beijing host city for a ZGC Forum parallel event, Xiong’an is rapidly building a full-cycle innovation ecosystem , positioning itself as a critical hub in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region’s integrated technological development.
