Hollywood fans got a playful surprise when the makers of Zendaya and Robert Pattinson ’s upcoming film The Drama unveiled its first poster . Initially mistaken for a real-life engagement announcement , the poster cleverly introduces the characters played by the star duo.

shared the poster on her Instagram , captioning it: “THE DRAMA. Formal invitation to follow.” The close-up image shows Zendaya flaunting an engagement ring while Pattinson wraps his arm around her , hinting at the couple’s on-screen chemistry .

Further details reveal that Zendaya and Pattinson play Emma Harwood and Charlie Thompson , an engaged couple whose romance takes an unexpected and dramatic turn just before their wedding .

Written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli , The Drama marks his fourth feature film and second collaboration with A24 , following the Golden Globe-nominated Dream Scenario starring Nicolas Cage . The cast also includes Alana Haim , Mamoudou Athie , and Hailey Gates . While plot details remain largely under wraps, the film promises a blend of romance and suspense .
