YSRCP youth wing to hold statewide agitation against 'Anti-People Policies' today

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Thursday announced that its youth wing will stage a statewide agitation from today, taking aim at what the party describes as the NDA coalition government’s “anti-youth policies and failures.” The announcement comes amid growing frustration among young people in Andhra Pradesh over stalled employment schemes, the privatization of government medical colleges, and the withdrawal of fee reimbursements for students.

According to the party, the agitation aims to highlight the plight of unemployed and underprivileged youth, who have been left without promised support despite repeated assurances from the government. In a statement released by the YSRCP, the youth wing emphasized that the protests will demand immediate redressal of critical issues, including the privatization of government medical colleges, cancellation of student fee reimbursements, non-implementation of the unemployment allowance, and delays in releasing the promised job calendar.

The YSRCP also outlined plans to strengthen its organizational framework in tandem with the protests. Mandal-level youth wing presidents are expected to be appointed by October 25, with mandal committees to be established by November 15. Village youth presidents will also be appointed by mid-November, followed by the creation of village-level youth committees by November 30. These moves are intended to ensure a robust grassroots presence, enabling the party to address youth concerns more effectively and coordinate demonstrations at every administrative level.

The agitation is part of a series of protests organized by the YSRCP over recent months. Earlier demonstrations have addressed issues such as the proliferation of spurious liquor in the state, which the party claims is linked to corruption and malpractice involving ruling party leaders. By combining protests with organizational strengthening, the YSRCP hopes to project a strong, coordinated opposition and to demonstrate its commitment to addressing pressing public concerns.
