YSRCP to fight "all kinds of battles" to halt privatization

YSRCP chief and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has declared a political war against the N. Chandrababu Naidu-led government, vowing to "fight all kinds of battles" to halt its privatization decisions. In a media address from Tadepalli, Jagan announced that he would personally participate in these agitations and urged all those who care about the state's welfare to join the movement.

Issuing a strong warning, Jagan stated, "When we come to power, we will cancel everything." He directly challenged any individuals or companies considering participating in the tenders for these projects to take note of his promise, signaling a potential risk for investors. He stressed that his party would not "sit idly by" but would actively confront these policies.

Jagan also used the platform to voice his frustration over the YSRCP's political standing and the integrity of the electoral process. He questioned the timing and purpose of the upcoming assembly session, claiming that his party is being denied a proper voice. Acknowledging that the issue of the YSRCP's "main opposition" status is currently pending in the High Court, he argued that without it, his party is not allocated sufficient time to speak on public issues. He contrasted this with a past incident where Chandrababu Naidu cried about an "attack" in the assembly, sarcastically questioning how many days the current Chief Minister had attended the house.

Shifting his focus to local body elections, Jagan raised serious allegations about the police system's role in rigging. He questioned whether the use of EVMs or paper ballots would even matter when "the police themselves are rigging." He asserted that peaceful and fair elections are only possible with the intervention of central forces and called for a "right decision" to be made during the next general elections, implying a need for a change in the electoral system to ensure transparency.

Jagan's statements reflect growing tensions in Andhra Pradesh's political landscape, with the opposition leader making it clear that his party will not back down from a confrontation over key government policies and institutional concerns.
