Senior YSRCP leaders met former minister Dr Seediri Appalaraju at the Ampolu Sub-Jail in Srikakulam district on Friday, where he is currently lodged in judicial remand, and assured him of the party's full support.

The delegation was led by former Deputy Chief Minister and YSRCP Srikakulam district president Dharmana Krishnadas, along with North Andhra Regional Coordinator Budi Muthyala Naidu and district observer Kumbha Ravibabu. During the prison visit, the leaders enquired about Appalaraju's well-being and discussed the developments surrounding the case.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Dharmana Krishnadas and Budi Muthyala Naidu alleged that the case against the former minister was the result of political vendetta. They asserted that the party would not be intimidated by what they described as fabricated and illegal cases, adding that such actions would not weaken the resolve of YSRCP leaders or workers.

The leaders also assured Dr Seediri Appalaraju and his family that the YSRCP leadership and party cadre would stand firmly behind them throughout the legal process. They reiterated that the party would continue to extend both political and moral support.

Several party functionaries participated in the prison visit, including Tekkali coordinator Perada Tilak, Rajapu Appanna, State president of the Pondara community wing, district vice-president Baggu Ramakrishna, trade wing president K.C.H. Gupta, MPP Nadupuru Sriramamurthy, and ZP Vice-Chairman Palina Srinivas.

A large number of former MPPs, sarpanches and local party leaders also joined the visit, expressing solidarity with Dr Seediri Appalaraju and reaffirming their support for the former minister amid the ongoing legal proceedings.
