YSRCP Leader Vidadala Rajini Alleges Police Misuse Against Opposition
Former Minister Vidadala Rajini criticised the governance in the state, stating that it has changed drastically since the coalition government came to power. Speaking to the media after appearing at the Chilakaluripet Police Station as per High Court orders , she expressed dissatisfaction over the current situation. She alleged that a “ Red Book ” system is being implemented against constitutional governance and remarked that it has now turned into a “ Blood Book .”
Rajini accused the government of targeting political opposition by filing cases. She stated that she too had faced an SC/ST case after the change in power, calling it part of political harassment . She opined that false cases are also being filed against ordinary citizens and party workers.
She further said that the crime rate has increased , with incidents such as murders and attempted murders causing concern. Cases are reportedly being registered against various sections, including journalists , which she said is not healthy for democracy . She stressed that the police system must function neutrally .
Rajini alleged that local MLA Prathipati Pulla Rao was objecting to her raising public issues in Chilakaluripet. She claimed that cases were filed against her for protesting issues such as power tariff hikes , and even in an incident that occurred while returning from a temple , a case was registered against her.
She criticised the government for using the administrative machinery to suppress the voice of the opposition. Warning that protests would continue if promises made to the public are not fulfilled , she asserted that they would not be intimidated by false cases and expressed confidence that justice will ultimately prevail .
