YSRCP Launches ‘Guru Parirakshana Deeksha’ Over DSC Allegations

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Saturday stepped up its campaign against alleged irregularities in the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process in Andhra Pradesh, demanding justice for candidates and a CBI probe into the recruitment exercise.

The party organised a ‘Guru Parirakshana Deeksha’ at its office in Tadepalli, with party leaders, MLCs, workers and DSC aspirants taking part. YSRCP leaders alleged that transparency and accountability were compromised at various stages of the recruitment process.

MLC Isaq Basha claimed that the party had submitted evidence relating to alleged irregularities to the government. He questioned the Education Department’s response to the complaints, saying it was particularly disappointing in a state where teachers are traditionally accorded high respect.

Isaq also raised questions over the case of Naveen Kumar, an aspirant who is stated to have secured the top rank at the state level. He questioned why the candidate was allegedly denied an appointment on outsourcing-related grounds. He also sought an explanation over the blocking of the candidate’s student ID and the subsequent email sent four days later, asking why the ID was blocked in the first place.

Another MLC, Arun Kumar, alleged that irregularities occurred at multiple stages, ranging from applications and notification to the examination, interviews, marks allocation and sports quota selections. He demanded that Education Minister Nara Lokesh provide a public explanation.

The YSRCP also called for verification of certificates submitted by candidates selected under the sports quota and reiterated its earlier allegations of violations of eligibility norms and procedural lapses in DSC-2025 recruitment.

However, the Andhra Pradesh government’s fact-check department has rejected the allegations, stating that complaints raised by candidates were being addressed through the prescribed procedures.

YSRCP leaders said their agitation would continue until the grievances of DSC candidates were resolved.

The deeksha was attended by MLCs including Lella Appireddy, Kavuru Srinivas, P. Suresh Babu, Isaq Basha, Kumbha Ravi Babu, Mondithoka Arun Kumar, Ramachandra Reddy, Palavalasa Vikrant, Sipayi Subrahmanyam, Ruhulla, Kalpalatha Reddy and Parvata Reddy Chandrasekhar Reddy.
