YSRCP committees to be revamped by February: Sajjal Ramakrishna Reddy

The YSR Congress Party is moving aggressively to strengthen its grassroots presence, with a major push to reorganize its party committees. Party state coordinator Sajjal Ramakrishna Reddy held a Zoom conference on Monday with regional coordinators and district presidents to discuss the plans.

During the meeting, Sajjal instructed leaders to treat the committee appointments as a “special drive” and complete the process by the first week of February. He emphasized that party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy considers organizational strengthening a top priority, and every leader should take the process seriously.

Special attention, Sajjal noted, should be given to appointments at the village and ward levels. Leaders were advised to ensure data profiling is accurate, with no errors, and that every detail is carefully recorded. The committee restructuring is not just about appointments - it aims to build a disciplined cadre of around 1.5 million active workers.

To facilitate this, the party headquarters has introduced digital tools to ensure direct communication with every worker, and digital managers have been assigned to each constituency. A senior leader-led task force has also been deployed to oversee the committee formation process.

Pilot projects in constituencies like Kadapa Parliament, Vemuru, Punganur, and Madakasira have already successfully implemented micro-level appointments. These models will now guide statewide implementation.

Sajjal stressed that the new committees should be structured to help the party secure victory in any upcoming elections. He added that accurate data profiling would provide long-term benefits and described committee formation, along with party programs, as a crucial test for leaders.
