YS Jagan Invited to Kadapa’s Amin Peer Dargah Annual Celebrations
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been invited to the annual religious celebrations at Kadapa’s Amin Peer Dargah, scheduled to take place from October 24 to 30. Dargah representatives met him at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli and presented the formal invitation.
During the meeting, the dargah’s head priest and other representatives briefed Jagan on the arrangements and significance of the upcoming festivities. They explained that the week-long celebrations would bring devotees to the revered shrine, known for its spiritual importance and association with communal harmony. Jagan urged the representatives to organise the event on a grand scale while preserving its religious traditions and spiritual significance.
The discussions also focused on the distinctive features of the celebrations and the role of the Amin Peer Dargah in bringing people from different communities together. Jagan described the shrine as a symbol of spirituality and religious harmony, noting that its significance extends beyond religious boundaries. The participation of devotees from diverse backgrounds, he said, reflects the inclusive traditions associated with the shrine.
Highlighting the importance of peaceful coexistence, Jagan stressed that Hindu-Muslim unity, mutual respect and brotherhood are essential to building a stronger society. He expressed hope that the annual celebrations would provide an opportunity to reinforce these values and encourage greater understanding among communities.
He also called on people from all sections of society to participate in the festivities and uphold the message of communal harmony. The tradition of devotees from different backgrounds visiting the dargah, he noted, underlines its special place in the region’s spiritual and cultural life.
The delegation that met Jagan included Khwaja Syed Shah Arifullah Hussaini, head priest of the Amin Peer Dargah; chief Mujawar Ameeruddin; and Mujawars Wajid Khan, Baji Shaik, Riyazuddin and Faqir Ahmed, among others.
The week-long religious celebrations are scheduled to be held from October 24 to 30, with the shrine expected to welcome devotees observing the annual occasion.
