YS Jagan Demands CBI Probe Into Alleged Irregularities In DSC-2025 Teacher Recruitment
YSR Congress Party president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has demanded an immediate CBI investigation into the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process, alleging serious irregularities and questioning the transparency of appointments made by the TDP-led coalition government.
In a post on X on Saturday, Jagan said new evidence and information were emerging from different parts of the state, raising fresh doubts over the recruitment process. He alleged that instead of addressing these concerns, the government was attempting to silence political opponents, media organisations and individuals raising questions about the appointments.
Jagan challenged the government to agree to an independent CBI probe if it was confident that the recruitment process had been conducted fairly. He also questioned allegations that some candidates were appointed as teachers without appearing for the required examination or clearing the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
He further sought an explanation over the sports quota appointments, alleging that the government issued orders relating to the quota, cancelled them after the recruitment process, yet allowed candidates appointed under those orders to continue in service.
Jagan also accused the coalition government of resorting to what he described as “digital censorship” to suppress criticism. He claimed that social media accounts and posts belonging to opposition groups, media platforms, activists and others questioning the DSC appointments and alleged government failures had been restricted.
He cited restrictions involving the Sakshi TV Facebook page, Sakshi Digital Instagram account, Big TV Instagram account and Jagananna Connects Instagram account, among others. According to Jagan, Meta had cited legal requirements while explaining some of the restrictions.
The former chief minister alleged that those questioning the government over alleged corruption, unfulfilled Super Six and Super Seven promises, and administrative failures were being targeted. He argued that removing posts or restricting accounts could not erase evidence or conceal the underlying issues.
Directly challenging Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Jagan asked why the government was hesitant to face the allegations and accept an independent investigation.
He said that if the evidence emerging in connection with DSC-2025 was false, the government should come before the public and establish the facts. Jagan also called for all restricted social media accounts, posts and related content to be restored.
He maintained that the government had a responsibility to provide transparent, constitutional and democratic answers to the concerns surrounding the recruitment process.
Jagan also held Education Minister Nara Lokesh responsible for the alleged irregularities in DSC-2025 appointments and demanded his immediate resignation.
The YSRCP chief reiterated that only an independent investigation could establish whether the allegations were genuine and determine responsibility for any violations in the recruitment process.
