YouTuber Booked After Controversial Online Remarks on Hindu Deities

A case has been registered against YouTuber Anvesh, popularly known as Prapancha Yatrikudu , for allegedly making remarks that insult Hindu deities, police said on Tuesday.

The complaint was lodged by actress and BJP leader Karate Kalyani at the Panjagutta police station. In her complaint, she accused the YouTuber of making objectionable comments that hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus.

Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) . A police official confirmed that an investigation has been initiated to examine the content in question and determine whether it violates the law.

Further details regarding the specific sections invoked and the nature of the alleged remarks were awaited. Police said appropriate action would be taken based on the outcome of the inquiry.
