Youth Engagement At The Heart Of Digital Alagadda Vision, Says Akhila Priya

Telugu Desam Party MLA Bhuma Akhila Priya has launched an initiative to bring educated youth, IT professionals and young experts from Alagadda into the development process of the constituency, with a focus on building a more digitally empowered and employment-oriented Alagadda.

As part of the initiative, Akhila Priya held an interactive session titled ‘Ask Akhila’ in Hyderabad on Sunday, bringing together more than 150 IT employees, young professionals and students from the Alagadda constituency. The meeting provided a platform for participants to share ideas, identify local development priorities and explore practical solutions for the region’s future.

A major focus of the discussions was on creating local employment opportunities so that young people from Alagadda do not have to depend entirely on larger cities for career prospects. Participants discussed the potential for establishing mini IT hubs, BPO units and MSME industries in the constituency.

The meeting also covered improvements to urban infrastructure, including modernising drainage systems and developing recreational parks and other public spaces. The emphasis was on combining infrastructure development with initiatives that can improve the overall quality of life for residents.

Several IT professionals also expressed their willingness to contribute their expertise to the constituency. They offered to voluntarily support programmes focused on digital literacy, technical skills training and mentorship for local youth in coordination with the administration.

Speaking at the gathering, Akhila Priya said she was pleased to see young professionals coming forward out of their attachment to their native region and offering ideas for Alagadda’s future. Their willingness to become active partners in development was encouraging, she said.

The MLA said Alagadda had once been associated with the image of factional divisions, but stressed that she wanted to completely move beyond that identity.

Her vision, she said, was to establish a new identity for the constituency “Alagadda means development, and Alagadda means the future of its youth.”

Akhila Priya assured the participants that their industrial ideas and policy suggestions would be taken up with the concerned government departments. She said efforts would be made to convert viable proposals into concrete development projects with the support of the state government.

She also thanked the young professionals who participated in the initiative and offered to contribute their time, knowledge and expertise towards shaping Alagadda’s future.
