Your Playlist Loyalty Just Paid Off! Spotify's Reserved Saves Fans Two Seats
Spotify has unveiled a new feature called Reserved , which allows superfans to access concert tickets ahead of the general public at no additional cost. Announced at the company’s 2026 Investor Day in New York on Thursday, the feature is designed to help an artist’s most dedicated listeners skip the rush and secure early access to tickets before they officially go on sale.
The programme works by identifying superfans through in-app activity streams, saves, and shares then notifying them via email and in-app alert when a tour hits their area. Eligible fans get roughly 24 hours to purchase up to two tickets through a third-party ticketing partner, with no added fees from Spotify.
Reserved is open to Spotify Premium subscribers aged 18 and over in the United States , with a summer launch planned through multi-year launch partner Live Nation. International markets are expected to follow. Spotify has noted that not every qualifying fan will receive an offer, as demand is likely to exceed the number of reserved seats available.
The feature arrives as frustration with the ticketing industry reaches a boiling point, with bots and scalpers routinely locking genuine fans out of high-demand shows. Spotify, which already claims to have driven over $1.5 billion in ticket sales through its concert discovery tools, is positioning Reserved as a direct fix routing seats to the listeners who matter most to artists.
