Praggnanandhaa , India’s 20-year-old chess sensation, has officially qualified for the prestigious FIDE Candidates Tournament 2026 , putting him on the path to challenge the World Chess Champion . The young grandmaster earned his place after delivering stellar performances across 2025 FIDE tournaments , achieving the highest results among eligible players and demonstrating his consistency and world-class talent.
