‘Yeh Awarapan’ Title Track Sets Emotional Tone for Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2

The makers of Awarapan 2 have unveiled the film’s title track, “Yeh Awarapan,” offering audiences an emotional glimpse into the much-awaited sequel ahead of its theatrical release on August 14, 2026.

Released under the banner of Sony Music India, the song marks the return of Arijit Singh in a soulful collaboration with Vishesh Films. The track brings together composer Amaal Mallik and lyricist Rashmi Virag, blending poignant lyrics with a melancholic melody that reflects themes of love, separation, loss and loneliness.

The song’s emotional lyrics capture the pain of heartbreak and longing, setting the tone for the story that unfolds in the film. Its music video features Emraan Hashmi reprising his iconic role as Shivam Pandit. The visuals portray a man battling grief, emotional turmoil and inner conflict, before transitioning into intense action sequences that hint at the thriller elements of the upcoming movie.

Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Awarapan 2 continues the journey of Shivam Pandit while introducing a fresh chapter to the franchise. The sequel follows the legacy of the original Awarapan, directed by Mohit Suri and released on June 29, 2007.

Although the first film, starring Emraan Hashmi and Shriya Saran, struggled at the box office, it later gained a cult following among movie lovers. Its soundtrack, particularly the evergreen song “Toh Phir Aao,” remains one of the most celebrated albums in contemporary Bollywood cinema.
