YSR Congress Party president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will chair a crucial extended meeting of the party at its central office in Tadepalli on Wednesday, September 24.

According to party sources, the meeting will bring together senior leaders and key functionaries, including regional coordinators, state general secretaries, Political Affairs Committee (PAC) members, district presidents, parliamentary constituency observers, Assembly and Parliament constituency coordinators, and state secretaries handling coordination and parliamentary affairs.

The agenda is expected to cover a wide range of issues, with Jagan Mohan Reddy set to deliberate on current political developments, evolving strategies, and pressing public concerns. The session will also serve as a platform for the leadership to gather feedback from district and constituency-level representatives ahead of the party’s future political programs.

This extended meeting comes at a time when the YSR Congress Party is recalibrating its organizational strength and positioning itself amid shifting political dynamics in Andhra Pradesh. Party insiders suggest that the discussions may also focus on outreach initiatives and strengthening coordination across constituencies.

Based on the context of such extended party meetings and the current political climate in Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP under Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely recalibrating its stand on the following points:

• Political Strategy & Opposition Dynamics – Reviewing how to position the party against the ruling coalition in Andhra Pradesh and the BJP at the Centre.

• Public Issues & Governance Criticism – Addressing concerns raised by people, especially on welfare schemes, economic challenges, unemployment, farmers’ issues, and development promises.

• Organizational Strengthening – Evaluating the performance of district presidents, coordinators, and constituency-level leaders to ensure stronger grassroots connections.

• Election Preparedness – Charting out the roadmap for upcoming local body elections or preparing groundwork for the 2029 Assembly elections.

• Communication & Outreach – Refining the party’s messaging, countering opposition narratives, and highlighting Jagan’s welfare legacy.

In essence, the meeting is about reviewing the party’s current position, addressing weaknesses, and aligning its strategies with public sentiment to stay politically relevant and regain ground.
