Yash’s Toxic unveils first look of Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth

The buzz around Toxic: a fairytale for grown-ups has intensified with the release of the first look of Huma Qureshi, who steps into the film as a mysterious character named Elizabeth in the much-awaited Yash starrer.

Shared on social media on Sunday, the poster presents Qureshi in a haunting graveyard setting, surrounded by weathered tombstones and stone figures. Dressed in black and standing beside a vintage black car , she exudes a quiet intensity, hinting at a layered and powerful role. The visual has sparked strong reactions online, with fans praising the actor’s striking transformation and the film’s dark, stylish tone.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas , Toxic is being described as a gritty period gangster drama infused with fairytale-like elements, designed for mature audiences. The film marks Yash’s return to the big screen after the massive success of KGF: chapter 2 and is considered one of his most ambitious projects so far. Shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, the film will also be released in dubbed versions across several Indian languages, strengthening its pan-India appeal.

Speaking about casting Huma Qureshi, Mohandas revealed that Elizabeth was one of the toughest roles to cast . She said the character demanded a performer with rare presence and intensity, adding that Qureshi brought an effortless sophistication that made the role come alive from the moment she appeared on screen.

Apart from Yash and Qureshi, the film boasts a star-studded ensemble featuring Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi, Tovino Thomas and Sudev Nair . Reports suggest the film includes large-scale action sequences choreographed with international expertise, with several actors performing their own stunts, adding to the excitement surrounding the project.

Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations . The technical team includes cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music composer Ravi Basrur and editor Ujwal Kulkarni, promising a visually rich and emotionally charged cinematic experience.
