Yash’s 'Toxic' Pre-Release Event In Hyderabad Set For August 22
Rocking Star Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown Ups is heading for its worldwide theatrical release on August 26, and the film is now entering its final promotional stretch. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the action drama has created strong buzz, especially with Yash returning to the big screen nearly four years after KGF: Chapter 2.
The makers have planned a Telugu pre-release event in Hyderabad on August 22. The event will be held at Malla Reddy University in Dulapally from 5 PM onwards. According to reports, the celebration is expected to draw around 50,000 Yash fans, making it one of the biggest promotional events planned for the film.
It is not yet clear if leading Tollywood stars will attend the event. Their presence could give the Telugu promotions an additional boost, considering Yash has a strong fan following in the region.
Toxic will be released as a multilingual film in Kannada, English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The film is also targeting a massive worldwide release, with reports indicating a plan for nearly 12,000 screens globally. The final screen count is yet to be confirmed. Advance bookings are expected to open on August 21.
The film marks Yash’s first theatrical release since KGF: Chapter 2. The actor plays the lead and is also involved in the production. Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria are among the key members of the cast, while Sudev Nair and several other actors are also part of the film.
Toxic has also attracted attention for its mature content. The Kannada version has received an A certificate from the CBFC, signalling that the film is intended for adult audiences. The movie has been presented as a gangster action drama with a darker and more intense tone.
The promotional campaign has generated plenty of discussion around the film's music and visuals. Ravi Basrur is associated with the background score and music, while Vishal Mishra has also contributed to the album. The makers recently held a music launch in Mumbai attended by Yash and members of the cast.
The film has also faced attention over some of its promotional material, including the song Tabaahi and scenes from the trailer. Yash recently responded to criticism surrounding the song and defended the creative choices made for the film.
