Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has rewritten trade history even before its theatrical release, with leading production and distribution house Sri Venkateswara Creations, headed by producer Dil Raju, acquiring the Andhra Pradesh–Telangana theatrical rights for a staggering ₹120 crore.

The acquisition, made on an advance on commission basis, is being described by trade analysts as the biggest-ever deal for a non-Telugu origin film in the AP–TG market, underlining the extraordinary confidence the film has generated within the industry.

Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is headlined by Yash, whose pan-India stardom soared following the success of the KGF franchise. The landmark deal further cements Yash’s strong market presence in the Telugu states, a territory considered crucial for big-budget pan-Indian releases.

Apart from the record-breaking valuation, the film has already begun creating strong pre-release buzz, particularly among younger audiences, following the release of its stylised glimpse. The teaser, marked by a dark, edgy tone, slick visuals and Yash’s intense screen presence, quickly went viral on social media, sparking widespread discussion and adding to expectations around the film’s unconventional narrative.

Industry observers believe the early traction generated by the glimpse, coupled with the film’s distinctive theme and scale, played a key role in driving distributor confidence and sealing the historic deal.

Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is positioned as a pan-Indian project, with the makers emphasising “cinema beyond language.” The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026.
