Yash’s birthday treat: ‘Toxic’ teaser gives fans a first look at his fierce character

Fans of Yash got a thrilling birthday surprise as the makers of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups released a powerful teaser of the actor’s character on Thursday, coinciding with his 40th birthday.

The teaser offers a gripping glimpse of Yash as Raya , a composed and fearless figure navigating a dark, action-packed world. Set against the eerie backdrop of a cemetery, the scene bursts into action with gunfire cutting through the silence, showcasing Yash wielding a Tommy gun with deadly precision.

This long-awaited update comes after Yash skipped his traditional fan meet on his birthday. Sharing an Instagram Story on Wednesday, he explained that his focus on completing Toxic kept him from meeting fans, but promised they would connect “in a much bigger way” soon and assured fans he would personally read all their birthday wishes.

Adding to the anticipation, the makers recently unveiled character posters of Yash alongside leading actresses Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutariam , setting the stage for the film’s dark, gripping narrative.

Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas , who also directs, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English , with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam , and other languages. The film is produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations , and is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026 .
