World class dental training hits India

Osstem Implant, the world’s third-largest dental implant company, is expanding clinical and digital dentistry training in India, reinforcing its corporate social responsibility initiatives. Through the Osstem Implant Training Center (OIC India), the company provides standardized, practice-focused education to dentists nationwide, promoting access to modern, safe, and affordable dental care.

Since its inception, OIC India has trained 10,466 dentists, making it the second-largest program globally after China. In 2024, 1,249 dentists completed the courses, with an additional 856 graduates by August 2025, highlighting growing interest among Indian practitioners.

Osstem is also advancing digital dentistry education. In August, Dr. YinShik Hur conducted an intensive digital workflow course, while September saw Prof. Marco Tallarico lead a two-day program in Mumbai on full-arch rehabilitation, covering CBCT interpretation, intraoral scanning, surgical guide design, and immediate implant placement.

Beyond training, OIC India improves access to high-quality implant treatments across urban and rural regions, enhancing patient outcomes and strengthening India’s dental healthcare ecosystem. Osstem’s annual “Osstem Meeting” draws hundreds of dentists to share trends and clinical insights, with next year’s events planned for Kolkata, Chandigarh, and Ahmedabad.
