Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh on Friday urged leaders and cadres of the ruling coalition to work in close coordination to secure victory in the upcoming Vijayawada Municipal Corporation elections, asserting that unity among the alliance partners would ensure electoral success.

Addressing the Jana Sena Party's Vijayawada city review meeting held at Sujana Convention Hall under the leadership of Jana Sena Political Affairs Committee Chairman Nadendla Manohar, the minister praised the commitment displayed by party workers during the recent general elections. He called on Jana Sainiks and Veera Mahilas to maintain the same dedication and channel their efforts towards strengthening the party's presence in Vijayawada.

Durgesh said the party leadership, led by Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, remains committed to recognising and rewarding the hard work of grassroots workers. He recalled his experience while receiving applications for the role of parliamentary constituency observer in Vijayawada, saying he was deeply impressed by the political awareness and enthusiasm shown by auto-rickshaw drivers, daily wage earners and workers.

Highlighting the party's inclusive character, the minister said Jana Sena was founded on the aspirations of people from all sections of society and is not confined to any single caste or community.

Speaking at the meeting, Legislative Council Government Whip Pidugu Hariprasad said the coalition government could comfortably win the corporation elections if it effectively communicated its development and welfare initiatives to the public. He stressed the need for leaders to identify division-wise civic issues and remain actively engaged with people at the grassroots level.

The party leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to Pawan Kalyan's vision, stating that Jana Sena would continue to strengthen the party while upholding coalition principles. They expressed confidence that the unity of the three alliance partners would pave the way for a decisive victory in the forthcoming local body elections.
