Women’s strength - Telangana’s pride: Revanth

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that the people themselves wrote the history of Telangana’s struggle. Speaking at the Telangana Prajapalana Day celebrations at Parade Grounds, he said our movement is one of the greatest in the world and should be written in golden letters. With the spirit of the armed struggle, we set aside dictatorship, he said. He made it clear that nepotism and favoritism will have no place in his government. Telangana is a role model in freedom, equal opportunities, and social justice, he said.

Revanth stressed that youth should shine through higher education and that schools will undergo a major transformation in the future. Along with education, sports will also be given importance, and a new state education policy will be introduced soon. He praised the crucial role of women in the armed struggle, recalling leaders like Chakali Ailamma, Mallu Swarajyam, and Arutla Kamaladevi.

Turning lakhs into lakhpatis

The CM said more "women marts" will be set up for selling Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas (DWCRA) products. New schemes for farmers will create a new trend, he said. Despite financial difficulties, there will be no compromise on farmers’ welfare. Farmers are getting 24-hour free power for motors. Competitive exams are being conducted transparently with fast results. Financial support is being given to Civil Services aspirants. Education and social justice will remain the key focus. The government has launched “Young India Schools” with high goals and is investing heavily in education and sports. He assured that his government will make lakhs of people into lakhpatis (prosperous citizens).

Farmers are kings

Revanth said farmers are like kings. Loan waivers have freed them from debt burdens. The government is purchasing every grain of their produce and paying farmers within 48 hours. Telangana is the only state giving fine rice to the poor. He firmly stated there will be no compromise on Krishna and Godavari waters and that Telangana is fighting a legal battle before the tribunal to secure its rightful share.

Moosi river development

The CM promised to complete the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel by December 2027 to solve the fluoride problem. He said Hyderabad will be developed as the “Gateway of the World.” By 2047, Telangana will become a 3-trillion-dollar economy. He assured that Godavari water will be supplied to Hyderabad to prevent drinking water shortages for 100 years. Moosi river will be cleaned and developed, with world-class structures built on its banks. Development works on Moosi will begin this December.

Fight against drugs

Revanth said the drug mafia is spreading even into villages and vowed to eliminate it with people’s support. He criticized previous governments for turning Hyderabad into a “gateway of drugs.” He warned that whoever is behind the mafia will be jailed. Telangana police are already performing excellently in this fight. He promised that drug parties in farmhouses will be crushed.

He also announced that in December, a Telangana Vision 2047 document will be released, and a Future City will be developed on 30,000 acres, despite obstacles from some vested interests.

Bhu Bharati & revenue reforms

The CM said the Dharani portal of the previous government caused chaos in the revenue system. His government introduced the Bhu Bharati Act, which is being implemented effectively. This law is aimed at protecting poor people’s rights and self-respect. He said Telangana will strongly argue before the tribunal for 904 TMCs of Krishna waters.

Revanth concluded by saying Hyderabad itself is a global brand, and under his leadership, Telangana will grow into a pollution-free, world-class state, creating jobs, improving livelihoods, and attracting tourism.
