Women Should Redefine the Political Landscape: AP State BJP Mahila Morcha Head
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emphasized the need for women to play a constructive and leadership-driven role in both governance and political affairs. The call was made during the Andhra Pradesh Mahila Morcha’s newly constituted executive committee meeting held at the party’s state headquarters in Vijayawada .
Leaders extended their congratulations to the new committee headed by Nishida Raju , expressing confidence that the team would strengthen the party’s outreach and contribute meaningfully to the evolving political landscape of the state. They observed that the inclusion of professionals such as doctors and entrepreneurs reflects the party’s focus on competence and organizational depth.
The leadership lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for advancing the Women’s Reservation Bill , describing it as a landmark initiative aimed at enhancing women’s representation in legislative bodies. They encouraged party members to draw inspiration from India’s cultural ethos, particularly the principle of “Ekatmata” (oneness), while engaging in public life.
Against the backdrop of the centenary celebrations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) , leaders called for greater awareness of the ‘Pancha Parivartan’ initiative , highlighting priorities such as strengthening the family system and promoting indigenous products.
Speakers underscored that the Mahila Morcha’s role should extend beyond cultural activities and that women must actively participate in core political programs and organizational initiatives. The meeting concluded with a resolution affirming that genuine political empowerment will be realized when more women step forward to seek party nominations and contest elections.
