A domestic dispute in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district took a shocking turn when a woman allegedly threw boiling milk on her husband after a minor argument over mobile phone usage.

According to police, the incident occurred on Tuesday night in Jamnol village of the Sarkaghat area. Dharampal, the husband, reportedly asked his wife, Neena, to stop using her mobile phone while they were having dinner. The request sparked a heated argument, which escalated dramatically when Neena lost her temper and poured boiling milk on his face.

Dharampal sustained minor burns and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by family members after his screams alerted them. Police confirmed that he has lodged a formal complaint against his wife for deliberately causing harm.

Authorities have registered a case under Section 125 of the BNS , which addresses rash or negligent acts endangering human life or personal safety. The police are currently investigating the incident.

While domestic disagreements are not uncommon, this case highlights the alarming consequences when tempers flare, even over seemingly trivial matters. Locals have expressed shock over the unusual and violent nature of the altercation.

Police have urged families to resolve disputes calmly and reminded citizens that such acts can have serious legal consequences .
