Will Ramayana Unveil Its Second Trailer on Dussehra? Industry Buzz Grows
Director Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part One is gearing up for a grand worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026, with the makers confirming that advance ticket bookings will open on October 20, coinciding with Dussehra. The announcement has intensified anticipation for the ambitious cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic.
The release date was officially announced on October 11 through a new poster featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Yash as Ravana. The film will arrive in cinemas worldwide across premium formats, including IMAX. The announcement also clears up earlier confusion over the release schedule, following speculation about different dates for Indian and overseas audiences.
Meanwhile, industry buzz suggests that the makers may unveil the second theatrical trailer on October 20, alongside the opening of advance bookings. The anticipated trailer is reportedly expected to offer a closer look at Rama’s strength and Ravana’s darker, more formidable character. However, the production team has not officially confirmed the trailer launch date.
The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Arun Govil as King Dasharath, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha and Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjihva, among others. The project is being produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash, with Prime Focus Studios, DNEG and Monster Mind Creations associated with its production.
Adding to the film’s international ambitions, acclaimed composers A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer have collaborated on its music. The production aims to bring the ancient epic to a global audience through large-scale visuals and cinematic storytelling.
Ramayana is planned as a two-part film series, with the second instalment expected to arrive during Diwali 2027. Both installments are planned for release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, with international distribution arrangements involving Sony Pictures.
With advance bookings approaching, attention is now focused on the film’s promotional campaign and whether the reported second trailer will be unveiled on Dussehra.
