‘What?’ Mamitha Baiju’s One-Sticker Response to Bizarre Marriage Rumour Goes Viral
Actress Mamitha Baiju has responded with humour to a bizarre social media rumour about her personal life, while her upcoming Tamil film Irandu Vaanam, co-starring Vishnu Vishal, has been postponed.
Mamitha, who was recently seen in the Malayalam film Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, became the subject of an unusual rumour circulating on Instagram. An entertainment page claimed that her brother, Mithun Baiju, controlled her personal decisions, including whom she would marry.
Rather than issuing a formal clarification, the actress responded directly in the comments section with a confused Minion sticker carrying the word “What?”. Her brief reaction drew attention online, with fans appreciating her light-hearted way of addressing the claim.
The incident highlights how rumours about celebrities can spread quickly on social media. However, the sticker itself should not be interpreted as a detailed statement from the actress about her family relationships.
Meanwhile, Mamitha’s upcoming Tamil romantic drama Irandu Vaanam, featuring Vishnu Vishal in the lead role and directed by Ram Kumar, will no longer arrive on its originally scheduled date of October 23, 2026.
Production house Sathya Jyothi Films confirmed the postponement in an official statement on October 10. The makers said the decision was intended to help the film reach a wider audience and ensure the best possible theatrical experience.
The production team added that it was exploring a more favourable release date and would announce the revised schedule soon. However, it did not disclose a specific reason for the delay.
The film reunites Vishnu Vishal and Ram Kumar after their earlier collaborations, Mundasupatti (2014) and Ratsasan (2018). The romantic drama is expected to blend romance, emotions and fantasy, with music composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas. Portions of the film were shot in scenic locations, including Kodaikanal.
With the new release date yet to be announced, audiences will have to wait for further updates from the makers.
