State Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has urged motorists to strictly follow road safety rules , stressing that nothing is more valuable than life and that responsible driving is essential to protect families’ future .

She participated in a large bike rally held on Tuesday in Payakaraopeta constituency as part of a road safety awareness campaign. The rally, which began at Adda Road and concluded at Nakkapalli , saw enthusiastic participation from hundreds of party workers and motorists.

On the occasion, the Home Minister personally distributed helmets to riders. Speaking at a public meeting later, she expressed concern over the tendency among youth to spend lakhs of rupees on motorcycles but hesitate to wear helmets worth a few hundred rupees that can save their lives. She said such negligence is leading to the loss of many lives and leaving several families devastated .

Anitha also pointed out that recent road accidents in the constituency over the past month have pushed several families into distress. She emphasized that traffic rules are not meant merely for imposing fines, but for the safety of every citizen .

Calling for awareness, she appealed to everyone to adopt the slogan “Wear a helmet – travel safely,” and said that accidents can be prevented only through responsible driving habits. She reiterated that helmets should be worn not because of police checks , but for one’s own survival.

Additional SP Mohan Rao , several police officials , public representatives, party workers, and a large number of supporters participated in the programme. Officials stated that such awareness initiatives will continue regularly to strengthen public understanding of road safety .
