“We Have Restored Andhra Pradesh’s Administrative System” : CM Chandrababu

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu stated that his government has strengthened Andhra Pradesh following the destruction caused by previous administrations, restoring the disordered administrative systems . During a high-level review meeting with ministers, secretaries, and district collectors at the Secretariat on Monday, the CM reviewed the state’s progress in detail and expressed confidence that 2025 had delivered positive outcomes for the state , successfully restoring public trust in the government .

Highlighting the government’s efforts to advance development alongside welfare, the CM said that under “Talli Puttina Vandanam” , ₹10,090 crore was deposited into the accounts of 67 lakh mothers , while through “Stree Shakti” , women undertook 3.5 crore free journeys . He added that under “Annadata Sukhibhava” , ₹6,310 crore reached 46 lakh farmers , and the “DEEPAM 2.0” scheme provided 2 crore gas cylinders . Notably, in just 18 months , the government spent ₹50,000 crore on social pensions , creating a new milestone in welfare delivery .

Regarding infrastructure, the CM emphasized that the Polavaram project, the lifeline of the state, will be completed by the upcoming Pushkarams and dedicated to the nation . Addressing past critics who had mocked the capital as a “cemetery,” he said the current progress is the answer. He assured that the efficient utilization of Godavari waters would position Andhra Pradesh as a leader in South India.

On industrial development, Chandrababu Naidu said the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant represents the sentiments of the people of Andhra Pradesh , and the state successfully secured a ₹12,000 crore package from the Centre to protect and sustain the plant, taking full responsibility for its future. He also noted that 25% of all foreign investment entering India in recent years went to Andhra Pradesh , highlighting that Google is establishing a $15 billion AI data center in Visakhapatnam , and Amaravati will soon become the foundation for a “Quantum Valley” , creating employment opportunities for thousands of youth .

Finance Secretary Ronald Ross stated that Andhra Pradesh has made significant progress in the transparent implementation of Centre-sponsored schemes , utilizing ₹12,621 crore in social welfare funds in 2025-26 through the state’s official fund management systems. While Panchayati Raj and Education departments led in fund utilization , he suggested improvements in Minority and Social Welfare department performance . Principal Secretary of the Planning Department, Piyush Kumar , reported that the Commercial Taxes Department achieved 86% of its target , with GST collections in November showing a 31% annual growth , and added that the government aims to generate an additional ₹13,100 crore through new revenue sources . Chandrababu Naidu urged officials to work harder to meet public expectations and fulfill developmental promises .
