The Andhra Pradesh government has intensified its focus on strengthening public service delivery and summer preparedness, with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu issuing a series of directions to officials during a review meeting held at the RTGS Centre in the Secretariat.

The Chief Minister stressed that drinking water scarcity must be prevented under all circumstances and directed officials to take immediate corrective measures across the state. He proposed allocating ₹1 crore per district to strengthen water supply systems, while also instructing the deployment of water tankers and urgent repair of non-functional borewells to address local shortages during the peak summer period.

To manage the impact of the heatwave , Naidu directed officials to ensure the availability of essential relief materials such as drinking water, buttermilk, and ORS packets, and encouraged coordination with voluntary organisations to extend support to vulnerable groups.

On governance reforms, the Chief Minister approved steps to streamline the vehicle registration process by allowing automobile dealers to act as additional registration authorities. He instructed that the process be completed within 24 hours to improve efficiency and reduce delays for citizens.

Naidu also emphasised the use of technology in governance, calling for wider adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and drone technology to improve service delivery. He proposed setting up an expert advisory panel to guide AI integration and suggested studying best practices from other states for implementation in Andhra Pradesh. He further directed that all non-emergency government services be made available online and highlighted the importance of citizen feedback through call centres to improve accountability.

Reinforcing administrative accountability, the Chief Minister instructed senior officials to increase field-level visits to understand ground realities and ensure effective implementation of welfare schemes .

He also reviewed issues related to agriculture and fisheries, directing officials to monitor market trends to ensure farmers receive fair prices. For fishermen, he suggested providing data-based information on fish availability zones after the fishing ban period to support better livelihood planning.

The meeting was attended by Information Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy, Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad, and senior officials from various departments.
