Want A Photo With Trump? Houston Fundraiser Puts $88,600 Price Tag

Want to fold with Trump? Better bring a very healthy bank balance. Donald Trump is heading to Houston on August 27 for a Republican National Committee fundraiser, and the price of getting close to the president is turning heads.

According to the invitation circulating online, entry starts at $10,000 per couple. Want a photo with Trump? That jumps to $88,600 per couple. A roundtable costs $250,000, while the top host committee package comes in at a stunning $443,000 per couple.

At those prices, this is not exactly your average political fundraiser. It is more like a luxury shopping menu, with a “photo with Trump” sitting somewhere between a sports car and a house down payment.

But there is a bigger reason for the Houston event. Trump is expected to help Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton, who is running against Democrat James Talarico in Texas. Paxton spent heavily during his bitter Republican primary fight against Senator John Cornyn and has been trying to close a major fundraising gap with Talarico.

The RNC also has plenty of financial muscle. It reported nearly $129 million in cash, compared with about $16 million for the Democratic National Committee, according to the Houston Chronicle.

So yes, the Republican fundraising machine is doing just fine.

And if you want a front row seat to it, apparently there is only one small requirement.

Bring $443,000.
