The Wagh Bakri Tea Group, one of India’s leading packaged tea brands, unveiled its most premium offering, Wagh Bakri Royale, at the fourth edition of World Food India (WFI) 2025. The event, organised by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, serves as a flagship global platform for the food and beverage industry.

The product was officially launched by Shri C. Murugan, IAS, Deputy Chairperson of the Tea Board of India, in the presence of senior dignitaries and industry leaders.

Speaking on the occasion, a Wagh Bakri spokesperson described the launch as a tribute to the plantations and workers whose efforts sustain the high standards of Assam teas. The new offering, the company said, is designed to benefit both consumers and those employed in the tea gardens.

Sanjay Singal, CEO of Wagh Bakri Tea Group, emphasised the significance of introducing Wagh Bakri Royale on the WFI platform. “World Food India provides an unmatched forum to present India’s finest produce to a global audience. Wagh Bakri Royale is crafted for discerning tea connoisseurs and reflects our commitment to elevating the tea-drinking experience while honouring the craftsmanship and heritage behind every cup. It was launched in Gujarat in August and has already received an overwhelming response. We are now set to make Wagh Bakri Royale available on leading e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms across top metros and mini-metros,” he said.

Premium blend from Assam

Wagh Bakri Royale is produced from 100% handpicked leaves sourced from select Assam tea gardens. The blend is a combination of high-grown long leaves and robust CTC teas, which the company says gives it superior taste, unmatched strength, and refined character. The product is positioned as the pinnacle of Wagh Bakri’s 130-year tea-making legacy.

Showcasing innovation at WFI 2025

In addition to unveiling Royale, Wagh Bakri is presenting its latest product range at the event. This includes refreshed packaging designed for international markets and innovative vending solutions aimed at expanding consumer access. The company also introduced its new corporate identity and outlined its long-term vision for growth during the exhibition.

Now in its fourth edition, World Food India has become a leading event for the global food and beverage sector. It provides a platform to highlight India’s diverse culinary traditions while fostering international partnerships and investment in the food processing industry.
