“Vote for DMK Alliance”: Owaisi’s Appeal to Tamil Nadu Voters Before Polls

Asaduddin Owaisi , president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), on Monday appealed to voters in Tamil Nadu to support the ruling alliance led by Chief Minister M. K. Stalin in the upcoming Assembly elections.

In a video message posted on the social media platform X, the Hyderabad MP said, “On behalf of AIMIM party, I am requesting the voters of Tamil Nadu to cast their precious votes in favour of Stalin-led DMK alliance.”

Reiterating his party’s position, Owaisi noted that the AIMIM has already extended its support to the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK)-led Secular Progressive Alliance. He expressed confidence in the leadership of Stalin, adding that he “hopes and expects that Stalin will come back to power through the support of the people.”

Owaisi further urged citizens to actively participate in the democratic process. “I request all voters of Tamil Nadu to cast their precious vote on April 23 and make all DMK alliance candidates victorious,” he said.

The 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election will be held in a single phase on April 23, with the counting of votes scheduled for May 4.
