Vision 2047: Ram Mohan Naidu Says AP Will Lead the Nation
Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu on Saturday said that Andhra Pradesh aims to emerge as one of the country’s top states by 2047 , driven by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s efforts .
Addressing a press conference on the 2026–27 Union Budget at Rajamahendravaram , the Minister said the Centre is extending full support to the State’s development and expressed confidence that coordinated efforts would transform Andhra Pradesh.
India emerges as the world’s fourth-largest economy
Recalling India’s journey from a once fragile economy to becoming the world’s fourth-largest economy , the Minister said the achievement under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership was a matter of pride. Despite challenging global conditions, India continues to record a steady growth rate of around seven per cent .
He described the Budget as more than a financial statement and said it reflects the aspirations of youth. The Budget was prepared by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman with a long-term national vision.
Focus on youth, major allocations for Andhra Pradesh
The Budget prioritises employment generation for youth by focusing on manufacturing, biopharma, information technology and sports goods production. Projects such as the Rare Earth Magnet Corridor and high-speed railway corridors are expected to boost Andhra Pradesh’s industrial growth.
The UDAN scheme has made air travel accessible to the common man, while import duties on aircraft components have been removed to encourage domestic manufacturing.
Special focus on Amaravati and Polavaram
Adequate funds have been allocated for the Polavaram project , construction of Amaravati , and the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone . Plans are also being prepared to create local employment based on district-specific natural resources.
Adireddy Srinivas , Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary , Somu Veerraju , Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy , and Boddu Venkata Ramana were among those present.
