'Vijayawada Utsav' aims to rival Mysore dussehra in grandeur

'Vijayawada Utsav' celebrations will be organized grandly to make the city of Vijayawada a cultural and tourist capital. These festivals will be designed to attract people from all over the country and the world during Dussehra. Ministers Satyakumar Yadav, Kollu Ravindra, Kolusu Parthasarathy, MP Keshineni Sivanath along with many public representatives and city dignitaries participated in the preparatory meeting held at Fortune Murali Hotel in the city on Tuesday and gave advice and suggestions to make this festival a success. Organized by the Society for Vibrant Vijayawada, the event will promote the fame of Vijayawada to the world while promoting local talent along with conservation of endangered arts. On this occasion, Minister Satyakumar Yadav also celebrated his birthday.

During the Vijayawada Utsav, various programs will be organized in areas like the 45-day exhibition at Gollapudi, Tummalapally Kalakshetram, Punnami Ghat and Sangeet College. These festivals will beautify the city with lights like Mysore Dussehra. Sri Durgamalleswaraswamy temple officials and Vedic scholars are designing the programs. The exhibition ticket price is fixed at Rs 30 and will include industrial and agricultural expos, seminars, stalls, rides and innovation exhibits. The Vice President of India C.P. Minister Kollu Ravindra expressed confidence that no one can stop this festival and with the blessings of Lord Kanaka Durgamma and Venkateswara Swami, this event will be a great success. Minister Satyakumar Yadav said that these festivals will make Vijayawada a tourist hub, boost local businesses and bring economic vibrancy. The public representatives have called for making Krishna district a tourist center with Vijayawada Utsav and Bandaru Beach Festivals every year. He asked everyone to work together so that this program will be immortalized in the history of Vijayawada.
