Vijayawada Set to Host Mega MSME Growth Summit Tomorrow

The Andhra Pradesh government is stepping up efforts to promote entrepreneurship at the grassroots level, with a vision of encouraging at least one entrepreneur in every household. State Minister for MSMEs, Rural Poverty Eradication, and Empowerment of Non-Resident Telugus, Kondapalli Srinivas, said the MSME sector is being strengthened in line with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s goal of driving industrial growth and employment generation across the state.

Ahead of the “MSME Growth Summit” scheduled for May 25 at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Kalavedika in Vijayawada, the minister conducted a detailed review of arrangements along with senior officials from various departments.

During the meeting, Srinivas said the government is introducing several initiatives through the MSME department to support aspiring entrepreneurs and help them access new business opportunities . He noted that the summit would play an important role in boosting industrial development and creating jobs for the youth.

Officials discussed strategies to increase participation from emerging entrepreneurs and improve awareness about government schemes designed for small and medium enterprises. The minister directed all departments to work in coordination and ensure flawless execution of the event.

He also instructed police and civic authorities to maintain strict traffic management, proper parking facilities, and strong security arrangements for delegates attending the summit. Continuous monitoring was ordered to ensure visitors and participants face no inconvenience.

The review meeting was attended by senior officials from the Industries Department, AP MSME Development Corporation, APIIC, Vijayawada administration, municipal authorities, and the police department.
