Vijay Sethupathi’s 'Slum Dog: 33 Temple Road' Wraps Up Shooting, Release Date Announcement Soon

Director Puri Jagannadh’s upcoming pan-India action entertainer 'Slum Dog: 33 Temple Road', starring versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi, has completed shooting, with the final schedule wrapping up in Hyderabad on Saturday. The makers are now preparing to begin promotional activities, while the film’s release date announcement is expected soon.

Puri Jagannadh announced the shooting completion on social media, promising audiences a rollercoaster of emotions on the big screen. The film marks the first collaboration between the filmmaker and Vijay Sethupathi, raising expectations among fans of both.

Vijay Sethupathi plays a slum dweller who takes on powerful forces after witnessing injustice against people in his community. The teaser presented the actor in an intriguing avatar, showing him both blind and sighted, adding mystery to his character and the film’s narrative.

The makers have also introduced several important characters through promotional glimpses. Tabu plays Gauri Hegde, a fearless Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax who confronts those standing in her way. Her character introduction showed her taking a tough approach towards people, including Vijay Sethupathi’s character.

Veteran actress Zarina Wahab plays Zubeida, the protagonist’s mother. Her character glimpse highlighted a woman battling poverty and hardship while struggling to survive on the streets. The emotional portrayal offers a glimpse into the human struggles explored in the film.

Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead, while Kannada actor Duniya Vijay, Brahmaji and VTV Ganesh appear in significant roles. The ensemble cast and character introductions suggest that the film will combine action with emotional drama.
