Actor Vijay Deverakonda has unveiled the teaser of his upcoming film Ranabaali , formerly titled VD14, officially announcing a September 11, 2026 theatrical release . The makers are positioning the film as a large-scale period action drama with a wide pan-India release strategy , banking on its scale, theme and star power.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali is set against the backdrop of British-era Rayalaseema and presents Deverakonda as a folklore-inspired rebel figure . The teaser, released on January 26, Independence Day, blends stark visuals with references to colonial oppression, framing the protagonist as a figure branded “savage” by colonisers but celebrated as “our savage” by his people.

According to industry sources, the film will open in multiple Indian languages , with Telugu as the primary version, alongside dubbed releases in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada .
