Vijay Deverakonda launches new film with director Shouryuv, Nani extends support at pooja ceremony

Actor Vijay Deverakonda has officially launched his upcoming film with director Shouryuv, tentatively titled VDxShouryuv , with a traditional pooja ceremony held in the city on Sunday. The project, backed by Vyra Entertainments, marks an exciting collaboration that has already generated significant buzz among fans.

Actor Nani, who previously collaborated with Shouryuv on the emotional drama Hi Nanna, attended the launch as the chief guest and gave the ceremonial first clap. Sharing a warm moment with Deverakonda, Nani described the occasion as a “roar” of camaraderie between the “Rowdy Star” and the “Natural Star,” drawing cheers from those present.

The announcement comes shortly after Deverakonda unveiled a striking first-look poster on April 18, accompanied by the caption, “All this anger was once love.” The film is being mounted on a grand scale with a global technical team, including Hollywood cinematographer Alejandro Martínez and VFX supervisor Eric Durst, indicating a visually ambitious project aimed at a pan-India audience.

Fueling the anticipation further, the recently released lyrical video titled “That’s A Roar” has received an enthusiastic response online, hinting at the film’s intense and emotionally charged narrative. Deverakonda has described the project as his “all,” underscoring his deep personal investment in the film.

Meanwhile, the actor is juggling a packed slate in 2026. Apart from VDxShouryuv , he is currently working on Ranabaali and Rowdy Janardhan , both of which are at different stages of production. Additionally, he has another untitled project in the pipeline, reflecting one of the busiest phases of his career.
