Vijay Deverakonda announces ambitious new film with ‘Hi Nanna’ director Shouryuv

Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda has officially announced his next film with ‘Hi Nanna’ director Shouryuv , unveiling an intriguing first-look poster that hints at an intense and ambitious cinematic venture.

The 36-year-old actor shared the poster on social media, introducing the project under the working title #VDxShouryuv . The striking visual shows Vijay Deverakonda in an army-green jumpsuit with gold gauntlets , confidently walking a pack of black hounds on gold chains. The poster also carries the evocative tagline “All this anger was once love,” suggesting a story rooted in powerful emotions and conflict.

Announcing the collaboration, Deverakonda described the film as a challenging and ambitious project backed by a “firecracker global team.” In his post, the actor said he was thrilled to work with Shouryuv, praising the filmmaker’s imagination and emotional storytelling. He added that he would give his “all” to the film and urged fans to “ROAR,” reflecting his excitement about the new venture.

The film will be produced by Vyra Entertainments and is expected to be mounted on a large scale with a strong technical team. The crew includes cinematographer Alejandro Martínez , known for his work on the international series House of the Dragon , and Emmy-winning VFX supervisor Eric Durst , who has worked on major Hollywood productions. The technical lineup also features editor Praveen Antony , production designer Suresh Selvarajan , and costume designer Sachin Lovalekar .

Music for the film will be composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab , who earlier collaborated with Shouryuv on the critically acclaimed hit “Hi Nanna,” starring Nani and Mrunal Thakur. The 2024 film received praise for its emotional storytelling, performances and music, raising expectations for the director’s new collaboration with Deverakonda.

While the plot and supporting cast remain under wraps , the announcement has already generated strong buzz among fans, with some even speculating about potential casting after actor Mrunal Thakur reacted enthusiastically to the announcement online.

Deverakonda is currently busy with multiple projects, including “Ranabaali,” a historical action drama directed by Rahul Sankrityan, as he continues to expand his lineup with large-scale and diverse films.
