VIBGYOR founder honoured for education excellence

Rustom Kerawalla, Founder and Chairman of the VIBGYOR Group of Schools, has been conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award 2025 by EducationWorld at the India School Rankings Awards 2025-26 in New Delhi. The accolade recognises individuals who have made a significant and lasting impact on India’s K–12 education sector.

Mr Kerawalla was chosen by a distinguished jury for his pioneering contributions in expanding access to quality education, raising learning standards, and promoting innovation across the educational landscape. Over the past three decades, his journey has been driven by the belief that education must be inclusive, future-ready, and rooted in values.

Speaking at the event, Mr Kerawalla said, “Education has always been more than a profession for me; it’s been a calling. My dream was to create learning spaces where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered to shape their own future. This recognition reflects the dedication of countless educators, students, and families who have believed in this vision.”

Since founding VIBGYOR Group of Schools in 2004, Mr Kerawalla has led its growth into a respected network of 40 schools across 15 cities, serving over 55,000 students and offering CBSE, CISCE, and Cambridge curricula. Beyond institutional leadership, he has worked closely with policymakers to promote scalable, sustainable learning models that bridge innovation and inclusion, influencing national discussions on curriculum design, teacher empowerment, and equitable access to quality education.
