Venkatesh-Trivikram’s Aadarsha Kutumbam Hits Theatres Today
Actor Venkatesh Daggubati’s Aadarsha Kutumbam – House No. 47 (AK 47) hits theatres worldwide today, with advance bookings generating interest among Telugu cinema audiences in India and overseas. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the family entertainer is drawing attention for bringing the actor and filmmaker together after nearly two decades. The film’s opening-day prospects will depend on how advance sales translate into theatre occupancy and whether audience response sustains momentum through the weekend.
BookMyShow has registered early audience interest, with more than 26,000 tickets reportedly sold after bookings opened on October 28, according to Telugu entertainment portal 123telugu. Hyderabad is emerging as a leading domestic market for the film, followed by Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada. The response across these cities highlights the importance of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to the film’s commercial prospects, given Venkatesh’s established popularity among Telugu audiences.
The NRI market, particularly North America, is another important indicator of the film’s performance. Trade reports put North American premiere advance sales at approximately $190,000, including around $176,947 from the United States across 321 locations and 669 shows. The reported US sales accounted for 9,462 tickets. While the film has secured bookings across several overseas locations, the initial pace has reportedly been below expectations for a release of this scale. Strong word of mouth could therefore play a decisive role in attracting additional audiences during the opening weekend.
The film marks the reunion of Venkatesh and Trivikram Srinivas after approximately two decades. Produced by S. Radha Krishna, popularly known as Chinababu, under the banner of Haarika & Hassine Creations, the movie also features Srinidhi Shetty, Nara Rohith, Nivetha Pethuraj, Rao Ramesh, Satya, Brahmaji and Vennela Kishore. Thaman S has composed the music, while Ravi K. Chandran is credited as cinematographer.
Promoted as a family entertainer blending humour, emotional drama, suspense and action, Aadarsha Kutumbam – House No. 47 enters theatres amid considerable interest surrounding its lead actor-director combination. The crucial test will be whether the initial booking trend translates into strong theatre occupancy and sustained collections, both in India and among overseas Telugu audiences, as reviews and audience reactions begin to emerge.
