Venkatesh Daggubati, Trivikram Srinivas kickstart ‘Venky77’ shoot in Hyderabad

Telugu cinema fans have reason to celebrate as veteran actor Venkatesh Daggubati and celebrated filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas have officially commenced shooting for their upcoming film Venky77 in Hyderabad. The film marks Trivikram’s return to direction after a 20-month break and is being touted as a perfect blend of family emotions, humor, and high-energy entertainment.

Produced by S. Radha Krishna under the prestigious Haarika & Hassine Creations banner, Venky77 had its traditional puja launch ceremony in August, with pre-production work wrapped up last month. The project has already created considerable buzz in Tollywood circles due to the combination of Venkatesh’s comic timing and Trivikram’s trademark storytelling style.

According to sources, the film will present Venkatesh in a role that resonates with his mass and family audience, featuring a storyline laced with emotional depth and Trivikram’s signature witty dialogues. Actress Srinidhi Shetty, known for her performance in KGF , is reportedly playing the female lead opposite Venkatesh, marking her significant debut in mainstream Telugu cinema.

The shoot began with an important sequence featuring Venkatesh in a family setting, setting the tone for what promises to be a crowd-pleasing entertainer. The makers are planning to film key portions across Hyderabad, Vizag, and Ooty over the coming months.

Trivikram, who last directed the blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and the action-drama Guntur Kaaram , is said to be returning to his comfort zone with Venky77 a heartwarming family drama enriched with humor, strong character arcs, and memorable dialogues.

The film’s music will reportedly be composed by Thaman S, reuniting him with both Trivikram and Venkatesh after several hits. The makers are expected to announce the complete cast and technical crew soon, along with a teaser before the end of the year.
