Vani Kapoor leads star-studded field as WPGT returns to Jaipur greens

The Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour makes its return to the Ram Bagh Golf Club this week after a six-week break, with several of India’s top professionals set to tee off in the 14th leg starting Wednesday.

The 2025 season has seen remarkable competition so far, with eight different champions emerging from the first 13 events. Among them, only three players Vani Kapoor (4 titles), Amandeep Drall (2), and Sneha Singh (2) have managed multiple victories, underlining their consistency and dominance.

As the season enters its closing stretch, the Jaipur event carrying a prize purse of ₹16 lakh serves as the penultimate leg, offering one of the final opportunities for several players still chasing their maiden win this year.

Leading the charge is Vani Kapoor, who tops the Hero Order of Merit. Vani has enjoyed a standout year, securing four wins and two runner-up finishes in 10 starts while balancing her commitments on both the domestic circuit and the Ladies European Tour.

Also in contention are Amandeep Drall and Sneha Singh, each with two titles, along with other prominent names such as Jasmine Shekar, Neha Tripathi, Ridhima Dilawari, Seher Atwal, Durga Nittur, and Khushi Khanijau the latter among those who have also featured on the IGPL Tour, playing alongside men professionals.

The field for the Jaipur leg comprises 36 players, including five talented amateurs Saanvi Somu, Anvvi Dahhiya, Eti Chaudhary, Riya Jadon, and Shiksha Jain adding further depth to the competition.

With two legs left on the calendar, the stakes are high as the country’s leading women golfers battle for crucial Order of Merit points before the season finale.
