‘Vaazha II’ Set for OTT Premiere After Blockbuster Run, Third Installment In The Works

After a sensational theatrical run, Vaazha II is gearing up for its digital debut on JioHotstar from May 8 , extending its reach to a wider audience following strong box office success.

Directed by debutant Savin S.A. and written by Vipin Das, the coming-of-age entertainer follows four friends Hashir, Alan, Ajin, and Vinayak as they navigate school controversies, evolving relationships, and emotional turning points across India, Dubai, and the UK. The film blends energetic humor featuring quirky moments like banana stall sequences and bike chases with a heartfelt exploration of friendship and self-discovery.

The film struck a chord with audiences and critics alike, earning ratings in the 3.5–4/5 range for its engaging storytelling, polished execution, and the natural chemistry among its young cast. Its commercial performance has been equally impressive, grossing over ₹220 crore worldwide, including a record-breaking ₹121 crore in Kerala, making it one of the highest-grossing films in the region.
