
UPSC Announces CSE 2025 final results: Anuj Agnihotri tops, four women in top 10
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 , recommending 958 candidates for prestigious government services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other Central Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ services, against 1,087 vacancies reported by the government. The commission has released the list of recommended candidates in order of merit on its official website.
This year, Anuj Agnihotri secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 , emerging as the topper of CSE 2025. An MBBS graduate from AIIMS Jodhpur , he was serving in the Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service (DANICS) before achieving the top rank. The top 10 rankers of the examination include Anuj Agnihotri (AIR 1), Rajeshwari Suve M (AIR 2, woman) , Akansh Dhull (AIR 3), Raghav Jhunjhunwala (AIR 4), Ishan Bhatnagar (AIR 5), Shreya Ramesh (AIR 6, woman) , Pranav Nair (AIR 7), Ananya Singh (AIR 8) , Rohan Mehta (AIR 9), and Vaishnavi Deshpande (AIR 10) . Notably, four women have secured places in the top 10, reflecting increasing gender diversity in India’s civil services.
Notable achievers from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana include Srujana (Rank 55) , DSK Prachet (193) , S. Varshith Reddy (259) , M. Pavan Kumar Reddy (297) , V. Vikram Simha Reddy (541) , Gummala Swetha (573) , Pothupureddy Bhargav (537) , Pudari Rahul (748) , Katthimani Anirudh (786) , and Korapathula Sreekar Raju (806) . Their success reflects the determination and academic rigor of UPSC aspirants from these states and inspires future candidates.

The selection follows a rigorous multi-stage examination process comprising the preliminary exam , the main written examination , and the personality test (interview) . The written exam was held in August 2025 , while interviews were conducted between December 2025 and February 2026 .
