Unstoppable Hyderabad E-Champions Storm Into Playoffs as TG20 Table-Toppers

Hyderabad E-Champions continued their impressive unbeaten run in the TG20 tournament, defeating Anurag Nalgonda Knights by five wickets to secure the top spot in the league standings and strengthen their position as title contenders heading into the playoffs.

The victory ensured Hyderabad finished the league stage at the summit of the table, earning a place in Qualifier 1 , where they will face Anvita Khammam Aces on Thursday. Finishing first gives the E-Champions a significant advantage in the knockout phase, with a direct route to the final at stake.

Chasing a challenging target of 188 runs , Hyderabad's batting line-up once again delivered under pressure. Vaishnav Reddy produced a blistering unbeaten knock of 41 off just 16 balls , providing the finishing touch to a successful chase. He received strong support from Anvith Reddy , who scored 40 off 30 deliveries, while Abhirath Reddy contributed a quick 39 off 20 balls.

Ajay Dev Goud also played a crucial role, remaining unbeaten on 34 from 24 deliveries to guide his side home with five wickets in hand.

Earlier, Anurag Nalgonda Knights posted a competitive 187/9 after opting to bat. Varun Goud led the resistance with a fighting 53 off 32 balls, helping his side recover and put up a challenging total.

However, Hyderabad's bowlers ensured the Knights were unable to fully capitalise on their start. Shanmukha Ashwin was the standout performer, returning excellent figures of 4/19 . He was well supported by Ajay Dev Goud, who claimed 2/39, and Pranav Varma , who finished with 2/23.

The result highlighted Hyderabad E-Champions' balanced strengths with both bat and ball throughout the tournament. Their unbeaten league campaign and consistent performances have made them one of the standout teams of the TG20 season.
