Union Minister Shri G. Kishan Reddy to Inaugurate Ministry of Mines Pavilion at IITF 2025

Union Minister for Coal and Mines, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, will inaugurate the Ministry of Mines Pavilion at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025, being held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on 14th November. The pavilion aims to highlight India’s mineral strength, technological innovations, and the mining sector’s contribution towards Viksit Bharat – Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.

Spread across 1,500 square metres, the pavilion promises an engaging and interactive experience for visitors. It will feature thematic exhibits, digital displays, and interactive activities showcasing India’s mining achievements, exploration technologies, and commitment to sustainable development.

All Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) under the Ministry of Mines, along with affiliated organizations, will participate. These include National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), Geological Survey of India (GSI), Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited (MECL), Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium Research Development and Design Centre (JNARDDC), and the National Institute of Rock Mechanics (NIRM).

A key highlight is the National Critical Mineral Mission (NCMM) zone, focusing on India’s critical and strategic minerals essential for clean energy, industrial growth, and technological self-reliance. Curated by the Non-Ferrous Technology Development Centre (NFTDC), it will showcase cutting-edge innovations in mineral exploration, processing, and sustainable utilization.

Private sector partners, including Hindalco Industries Limited and Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL), will demonstrate their contributions. Hindalco will display models of the Vande Bharat Express and Chandrayaan-3, symbolizing the role of metals in national progress, while HZL will showcase advancements in sustainable mining practices and technological excellence.

The pavilion also emphasizes community development, featuring exhibits by District Mineral Foundations (DMFs) and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to highlight CSR initiatives, locally made products, and livelihood support programs. Visitors can engage with Virtual Reality (VR) and digital mining experiences, interactive quizzes for students, and educational displays on exploration technologies and sustainable mining.

Through these exhibits, the Ministry aims to demonstrate how responsible mining, technological innovation, and community engagement are driving India’s journey towards self-reliance in minerals and inclusive growth, laying the foundation for Viksit Bharat @2047.
