Union Minister Scindia to represent India at Mobile World Congress

Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia will lead the Indian delegation at the prestigious Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, scheduled from March 2 to March 5 . His participation underscores India’s expanding role in the global digital and telecommunications ecosystem.

During the event, the minister will inaugurate the Bharat Pavilion , showcasing India’s telecom innovations, digital solutions, and technological capabilities to global stakeholders. He will also unveil the IMC 2026 Curtain Raiser , highlighting the country’s upcoming flagship digital connectivity initiatives.

Scindia is scheduled to address the GSMA Ministerial Program on the theme “Breaking the Cost Barrier” , where global leaders will discuss strategies to ensure affordable, inclusive, and scalable digital connectivity . He will also speak at the Main Stage Session titled “Built for What’s Next” , focusing on future-ready digital infrastructure, emerging technologies, and resilient communication frameworks.

Additionally, the Union Minister will deliver the Closing Keynote Session at the GSMA Ministerial Stage on “Breaking the Cost Barrier,” reinforcing India’s vision for cost-effective and accessible telecom solutions worldwide. His address is expected to emphasize innovation-driven growth and global collaboration.

As part of his engagements, Scindia will participate in high-level bilateral meetings with global governments and telecom industry leaders to explore cooperation in universal meaningful connectivity and robust communication infrastructure. He will also attend a CEO dinner hosted by India , strengthening partnerships with international business leaders and technology innovators.

The minister’s visit will include focused booth visits and technology demonstrations at leading global and Indian companies. He is also set to visit the booth of Tejas Networks for the launch of the T31600-D3 Hyper-Scalable DCI Platform , marking a milestone in India’s advanced telecom product development.

India’s participation at MWC 2026 reflects its growing influence in the global digital sector and its commitment to building secure, inclusive, and future-ready digital networks through strategic international collaboration.
