Union minister Kishan Reddy campaigns door-to-door in Jubilee Hills ahead of bypolls

Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, Kishan Reddy, along with other BJP leaders, carried out a door-to-door campaign on Wednesday in support of BJP candidate Lankala Deepak Reddy for the upcoming Jubilee Hills assembly by-election.

Speaking to the media, Kishan Reddy highlighted the long-standing development issues in the constituency. He criticized the previous Congress and BRS governments, saying they had failed to take any significant steps for public welfare. “Jubilee Hills has never been won by the BJP. It has always been represented by Congress and later by BRS MLAs. Yet, there has been no visible development in the area,” he said.

Kishan Reddy pointed out that drainage systems are overflowing, roads are flooded, tap water is contaminated, and streets lack proper lighting. During the monsoon, roads turn into rivers, and even homes are affected by waterlogging, he added. “People are frustrated with the governance of Congress and BRS. They now want real development,” he said.

He expressed confidence that meaningful development in Jubilee Hills can only be achieved under the BJP. “Elect the BJP in Jubilee Hills, and development projects will begin. Progress is possible only with the support of the people,” Kishan Reddy told residents.

The Jubilee Hills by-election polling is scheduled for November 11, with results expected on November 14. The election was necessitated by the death of former MLA and BRS leader Maganti Gopinath. Congress has fielded BC community candidate Naveen Yadav, BRS has nominated Gopinath’s wife Sunita, while the BJP is contesting with Lankala Deepak Reddy.
